Admission Requirements

Given the quality and diversity of our bridging programmes, we have no rigid entry level requirements.

A lack of computer knowledge or a matric certificate won’t stand between you and successfully completing a UCO Career Learning Programme.

Because we are presenting courses in the FET band, we don’t have strict requirements on any specific subject and you do not need Grade 12 for most of our short courses or programmes.

The following exceptions do apply:

In-house Career Learning Programme/Career Diploma	Pre-requisitions	Subject
Human Resource Officer	Grade 12 or equivalent
Public Relations Officer	Grade 12 or equivalent
Tourism Information Officer	Grade 12 or equivalent	Geography (Advisable)

Before a learner can register with us, they need to undergo a career guidance session.

During this session our consultants will determine which of our Career Learning Programmes is suitable for the specific learner.

This is to ensure that the learners register for a programme suitable for their interest and abilities.
