Project Manager

The UCO Project Manager programme covers the key elements and principles in Project Management along with other basic skills necessary to become a successful Project Manager. The difference between real organisations that will excel, and those that will not, is the strength and capability of the marketers that run these operations. Upon completion of this programme, you will be able to operate effectively in a project environment, design and apply effective project plans and strategies. Basic computer skills are also taught in this programme.

Who should attend this course?
This Skills Development Programme is intended for:

Individuals aspiring to building a career in Project Management.
Persons who wish to continue using their minds intelligently and independently after matric or after completion of further studies, especially those who are versatile and have the ability to communicate with people on any level, should consider a career in the vast field of Project Management Either alone or as part of a team, project workers must be able to analyse problems objectively and apply various techniques to their solution.

Duration
The total number of Credits for this Qualification is 54. This is equivalent to 540 Notional hours that need to be spent on this Qualification. This includes contact time, structured learning, workplace learning and self study (1 credit = 10 notional hours). More but not less time can be spent on this Qualification.

Registration and Accreditation
UCO is provisionally accredited by Umalusi, Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training. All unit standard based courses are quality assured by one of the following Seta’s: MICT SETA, ETDP SETA or SERVICES SETA. Unit standard based courses will be followed by a SAQA Aligned Unit Standard ID number.
٭ Learners must be aware that Universal College also offers a few Provider Programs that are not unit standard aligned. The courses are quality assured by the Provider.
